4th of JULY weekend.

Yeah I know I am a little slow, but here is a quick (or not so quick) review of our July 4th weekend. Friday morning we decided to brave waking up early to see the balloons the girls had fun although we missed them taking off, which is what they wanted to see.

After the balloons we went to Magelbys for breakfast YUMMY, Grandpa gave all the kids chocolate cake for breakfast, doesn't get any better.

Then the GRAND PARADE, we have never taken the girls to the parade in Provo so we though we better. Well they LOVED it, I don't think they sat down the whole time. The weather was great, a little overcast made it much more bearable.

Saige and her BUDDY, Hesston (cousin), these two sure love each other.

The big balloons were a hit, this one got stuck under the wires and the kids thought that was way funny.

That evening Steve and Ellery had invited us to Steve parents home for a BBQ and fireworks. We had a great time and the kids played i the water for a little bit, it was a bit chilly but they had fun. Then we watched the stadium of fire, it was a GREAT TIME. Thanks.

Cali jumped in the water clothes and all.

Playing on the water slide.

Watching Fireworks.

Saturday morning we thought since we didn't do too much on the fourth we would headed up to Wyoming Downs to watch the horse races. Moosmans had a buch of horses racing, which makes it a little more exciting to watch someone you know.

The Girls watching the RACES!!

The Group, Kara and her family, Kyle and his FRIEND,
Shirley and Alan(Karas Parents). Not in order but that is who went.

This picture is of Riley Moosman(in white) ponying the race horse, i remember going to the races and babysitting this little boy, man have times changed.

Moosmans horse, in the orange, HE WON!!

Watching the race.
From left to right Wynn Fox, Tanner Fox, Allie Fox, Cambree Fox, (I THINK), Addison Smart.
ALL in ALL we had a VERY BUSY weekend but we made tons of fun memories and the kids were troopers.

T-BALL

Saige had her last T-ball game on Tuesday, she had a great time learning something new. She practiced lots and lots, and really liked her coach (although she would never admit that). She can't wait until next year to play again.
Mom, Giving her a little encouragement, she was a little nervous, it was her first game.

Waiting her turn to bat.

Saige and her team.
Someone asked me what I thought Saige would be (when she grew up) based on her interests and talents right now, what would I choose.......well I think she would start the first "Dancing Baseball League" her two favorite things right now, and she is pretty good at both!!

Happy Anniversary

WOW, 8 years ago we were taking the plunge, young and way in LOVE !! We were young and the odds were against us (according to today's society) but we had each other. Things have not always been perfect or are either of us (nor will they ever be) but we are a great team. We have a awesome relationship built on friendship, FUN and understanding. I never, never thought when we were dating that it would end up in marriage, OH how I was wishing that it would. I have been truly blessed and LUCKY to have Calvin as my husband, he is such a hard worker and will do everything to make sure we are taken care of. He can make me laugh when I want to cry, makes me smile when I am sad, and he is so positive and fun. I love him more today than I did then and will continue to be by his side, I would be lost without him. Thanks Calvin for loving me and sticking it out through 8 years, can't wait for another.... FOREVER.
Look how young we are, but aren't we cute!!
Our wedding was
AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL
thanks to my mother and mother-in-law they both worked so hard
I would do it all over again, Calvin he says no way, IF he was to do it all over he would say I DO then be gone.
(but we all know what they are thinking)
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY !! LOVE YA

Go DODGERS!!

About a month ago my Mom and Dad were planning a trip to go to LA and see a Dodgers game. Calvin has been wanting to go to a Major League game for years so...... when they asked if we wanted to go I decided to break down and take him, so we went along. We left early Friday morning and got to LA about 10:30. From the airport we went straight to Catalina Island, it is about a 1 hour boat ride we had a great time and it is an awesome little place. We spent the day walking around shopping, hanging out on the beach, coveting a few boats, EATING, and soaking up the sun!!! I would go back and stay on the Island next time. My camera lost all the pics (operator error) from the Island but here are a few on the boat ride back.

Waiting to get on the boat, to head back to Long Beach:(

Riding the boat back!!

The next morning we decided to go tour the cruise ship The Queen Mary. It has quite the history of being a ship to transport soldiers during WWII. We had a great time, Calvin and I had never been on any cruise ship so we were fascinated.

A random wedding on the Queen Mary, I thought it was a little weird but whatever floats your BOAT. HAHA

We also toured a submarine that was there, talk about claustrophobia, pretty sure I have no desire to live under the sea.

After the tour of the queen Mary we headed back to our Hotel to relax before the BIG game. Then around 4:00 we headed into LA to Dodger stadium. We got there early so we could look around a buy a few souvenirs. It was amazing and HUGE!!! I had no idea, we had awesome seats, Thanks to my DAD. We enjoyed a famous DODGER DOG and some CrackerJacks, we had to it's tradition right!!

Before the Game started.

Random pics of the game!!

Calvins favorite player!! He played for the OTHER team.... trader he is. (notice he is the only one without a Dodgers hat)

After the game we hung around for awhile, not wanting to go back!

I guess for all you baseball lovers this is a big deal !!

This was a sign up on the hillside it was all lite up and looked neat.
We had an amazing time it was a quick trip but lot's of FUN. It is a rare occasion when we get to go with my Dad and Mom and NO KIDS, so we laughed and had lots of great visits. Calvin and I could not believe how easy it was to fly and travel with no little ones, it saves a lot of time and you get places much quicker. We missed them greatly but know they are in great hands with their Aunt MEGGIE, thank you so much for watching the girls, they have just as much fun as we do. Thanks MOM & DAD for letting us come along with you. We had tons of FUN!!!!

My Little Girl is FIVE !!

Well five years ago today(june 30th) we welcomed Saige McKenzie Smart to our lives, after an attempt at a version (turning the baby, she was breech) which was unsuccessful we ended up with a c-section, so she came into this world butt first and screaming. She weighed in at 6lbs 8oz. and 191/2 inches long. She was AMAZING, lots of dark hair, dark skin, PERFECT, and I can still remember people commenting on her beautiful heart lips, which she still has. She has such an amazing zest for life and lives by her own rules!! She will try almost anything and is not afraid to try and try again. In her five years she has been and done more than I had until I was married. She does take after her mother with being a little accident prone, she has broke both arms and her collar bone, all in different falls. She loves to be her Daddy's little girl and Hunt, Fish, Camp, Farming, Horse Riding anything with her Dad. Calvin always said he doesn't need a little boy he has Saige. We love her very much and are forever blessed to have her part of our family her little sisters love her more than anything, Addison loves to tag along with Saige and MOST of the time Saige is okay to let her. Cali loves Saige to entertain her and tickle her, they get the giggles, which is so cute. She loves animals especially her DOG HAGEN they are best buddies and have always been. He watches out for her and she watches out for him!!

A few things we love about Saige.....
