Happy 30th Calvin !!

Calvin is one year older...and maybe wiser!! We had a fun Birthday, we left to Goblin Valley!! His perfect birthday camping with his family!!
He is amazing and gets better every year!! We LOVE him so much.

House "NOT" for Sale

Many of you know we WERE trying to sell our house. But after many calls and talking to Realtors we decided now is just not going to work. We want what we want for our house and are VERY FIRM on our price, because we don't HAVE to sell, just WANT to, and in this market that is not what a buyer wants to hear. We all have mixed feelings, a sense of relief, sadness, less stress, broken dreams, right, wrong etc... We have talked it over and over and just thought now is not the time, if it is meant to be it will happen some day!! So for now we are going to keep on dreaming of our FARM and enjoy our home sweet home!!

Don't get me wrong I DO LOVE our home and am VERY grateful for it, just never thought we would still be here 10 years after moving in but the longer we are here the harder it is going to be to say goodbye. We are very comfortable here, however we would LOVE to have a little more land, to have our own LITTLE farm with a little more room to RUN!!

My RUNNER.....

Saige's school does a "FUN RUN" fundraiser every year so we always like to go do our part and run. Saige and I got up early Saturday morning to go do the one mile FUN RUN...well when we got there and signing up Saige insisted on running the 5K, I tried to make sure she understood how far that was (trying to talk her out of it, I was in no way ready to run) but she said she could do it, so we did it. AND WOW, I can not believe her, she really ran the WHOLE thing, I was the one lagging!!! As we crossed the finish line I was so proud and holding back the tears, I think this has to top the list as one of my proudest moments of her. She was so excited too, and all smiles, with cheering of all the runners who had finished. SHE WAS THRILLED and should be.

I only wish Calvin could have been there to watch, but when we left we were just doing the 1 mile no big deal. I had tried to call him with no answer & come to find out he was home locked out with no truck keys!! So he had planned on coming up, but NEXT time he will be there cheering her on, because we are going to do another one together.

So there were around 310 runners, & Saige took first in her age group and 44th overall!!!! WOW

Girls Day at the Salon

The girls love to have their cousins come down from Kamas, so we had them come for a sleepover then a trip to the Salon for a few hairdo's, mani's and pedi's. They loved it and thought they were ohhh so big. They all got curls done, (minus Addie she wanted hers straight ?!?) then they got nails and toenails done. The hair looked darling....fingers and toes left MUCH to be desired, but they were tickled none the less.

After we went to snap a few GLAMOR shots, we went to the one place that has pretty flower the Temple and took some cute pics of them.

Thanks Aunt Megan for the great idea and getting us going...too bad she had to leave early. :(

The HAPPIEST Place on EARTH!!!

DISNEYLAND!!!

Well we survived our trip to Disneyland (about a month ago) and had so much fun!! This was the first time we drove which was VERY scary for me I don't do well confined to a little place for that long.....so about 2 weeks before we left Calvin decided it was time to take the plunge and convert into a SUV family!!! YEAH, he found an awesome Yukon and bought it which made the drive OH SO NICE!!! The girls did awesome on the way down, we left early and they made it to about St. George before waking up. We made minimal potty stops and they for the most part didn't fight!! But I was prepared with about 10 different things for them to do...movies, games, leapster, coloring, book, ipod, treats, more games etc... So we got to California Sunday night checked in then went out to dinner, we had already planned on not going into Disneyland until Monday morning....pure torture for the girls that had just made a 10 hour drive to NOT go straight to DISNEYLAND. Anyway Monday was our first of four days at Disneyland and it really is so MAGICAL, I guess I really am a kid at heart!!!
Jose, Ana and Andie, came with us it was great to have them along, I hope they had as much fun as us. Thanks for coming it was a blast!!

A few HIGHLIGHTS!!!
Saige lost her FIRST tooth in Disneyland, she will never forget it!! And yes the tooth fairy can find you in California!!!

Ever since we had Cali I have wanted a "CALI" picture so this is the best we could get, it proved harder than you think to get one without other people in it. If you look close she is standing on the "L".

The princess LUNCH was great and yummy food. The girls got to meet five princess's!! A huge highlight for them.

Cali and TINKIE BELL! Anyone who knows Cali knows she is a little obsessed with Tinker Bell. So seeing her was a must on our list. We got to see her the first day and to see little Cali Jo's eyes light up was worth the whole trip she was soooooo thrilled, and bashful of course but is still talking about it. She told tinker bell that she is her favorite Princess!!

OH so CUTE!!!

Saying GOODBYE!!! This was our last parade we watched, and of course it was HSM!!!

We made it down to Seaworld too, but that will be another post!!!

*CANCUN*

Well our long awaited trip finally came and we had a great time...COLD or COOL I guess but still FUN!!! It was the COLDEST it had been in Cancun for many YEARS so getting a tan by the POOL was not it the cards but OH WELL!!

Before I get too ahead of myself this is a little background on our trip. ROOFERS SUPPLY the supplier Calvin gets his materials from, takes several of the top buyers from each store on a trip every two years if you qualify!!! So Calvin has qualified for the last THREE trips but we could not go on the first TWO because you guessed it I was either pregnant or just had a baby, this one we were NOT going to MISS. So the CANCUN trip was planned for last April and was the VERY week when the SWINE FLU hit and was all over the NEWS so much to my relief the re-scheduled for January. So the much awaited trip came and did not disappoint well the weather could have been a bit better but we did fine and met some great people and had FUN anyway!!!

Well we landed in CANCUN to very wet runways and had to wait about 30min to get taxied in, then after going through customs, and immigration we got a call from ELDER SMART, Calvins little brother is in Cancun on a MISSION. He could not wait to come and see us so we decided to meet up at the HOTEL and go to dinner.

We arrived at the hotel, to be greeted with a FLOWER and sent down to a PRIVATE, WELCOME PARTY we were in AWWWW and quickly realized that this was going to be awesome.

We checked out our room then got a call and Elder Smart was there. We were so excited to see him, he looked great and was all smiles!!! We took him and his companion out to dinner and then back to the Hotel to chat for awhile. He is so happy and just the same, well maybe a bit heavier.....lets just say he is eating WELL!!! Just another few months and we get to see him back at home again.

The FLEA market is always interesting in MEXICO and this one did not disappoint. We LAUGHED, got RIPPED off, HAGGLED beyond belief, spent MONEY, but came home with some great treasures!!!

Calvin and the rest of the guys went out jet skiing, it looked to cold for me, I watched and enjoyed my drink on the beach!!!

XCARET!!!

So as part of our stay the took us to a place called XCARET, I don't know how to explain it but a little of everything, Mayan Villiages, Indian dancers, snorkeling, beach, animals, butterflies etc..... Here are a few sight from around XCARET!!!

This is were we went snorkeling, down this river that took you under ground and ended up at the beach so AMAZING!!!

At the FAREWELL dinner....we got to stay a night extra but this was the last night everyone else was there. I missed pictures of the awesome dancing we did....with the MASKED men!!! So of the guys in the masks (above) came in dancing with the masks on it was so funny and they have got some moves, but couldn't talk "SMARTWAY" (aka Calvin) into doing it!!

So with an extra day and just us we took the shuttle over to the MOON PALACE resort, it was amazing and HUGE you would need a couple days just to see everything there!! So we hung around the pool and the beach ate a lot and had some good conversation.....crazy I know but Calvin does talk!!!!

I just loved this picture...just a nice reminder that indeed we are in a different country and to be grateful for the AMAZING country we live in!!!!
