Did you know?

This is what my five year old asked me today......
S: Mom did you know SHEEP is a digraph? (she was reading a book with the word sheep in it)
M: A WHAT....
S: A Digraph, you know like sh sh sh sh sheeeep!!!
M: Oh ya that's right, good job Saige!! (me playing SMART)

Well really I have NO clue what a digraph is but she sure does and thinks I do too. I thought it was pretty funny. This is how a lot of our conversations go....me acting like I know everything!!! HAHA

More did you know?
Just a few of what Saige comes home from school and says....
That George Washington had wooden teeth...
That the teddy bear was named after Teddy Roosevelt...
Mount Vernon was the home of the first President...
That when it's March, it is still December outside...(referring to the weather)

Well she makes me feel very DUMB often and I hope I can graduate Kindergarten TOO!!!!

FYI: Digraph (orthography), a pair of characters used to write one phoneme (distinct sound) or a sequence of phonemes that does not correspond to the normal values of the two characters combined

Heck, I didn't know what it ment either. Just play dumb, and learn as she does. Thats my plan.

When Brooklyn taught me diagraphs I had no idea either, good thing we get a refresher course as our kids grow!

So funny. . .I play smart all the time. But it's probably easier for you to play "smart" (since you are one - get it?)

I object to being considered "dumb" and place the blame on my kindergarten teacher who NEVER taught me what the heck a digraph is... ok ok I am just dumb. That is unbelievable what they are learning!

PS, tell calvin thanks for Working Man, that made josh's day
